About Me

Biography

I am Gabriela-Gladiola Petroiu, PhD, Dipl. Eng. in Electronics and Telecommunications from "Gh. Asachi" Technical University of Iași. I received my doctorate in Computer Science from the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering, also at "Gh. Asachi" Technical University of Iași in 2011. Currently, I am employed as an associate professor at the Faculty of Medical Bioengineering, Department of Biomedical Sciences at "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Society of Medical Bioengineering, and I am affiliated with five other national and international professional organizations.


My courses, laboratories, and research cover a variety of fields, including Medical Informatics and Biostatistics, Web Platforms and Technologies, Automation Systems, Medical Electronics and Robotics, RPA (Robot Process Automation) for Medical Processes and Procedures, eLearning & Multimedia, and Computerized Techniques for Designing Complex Biomaterials. I have published over 100 scientific papers, including 10 papers in journals with a cumulative IF of 14.82 and 6 ISI-rated abstract papers with a cumulative IF of 16.002. I have also contributed 74 papers to indexed ISI proceedings volumes, according to the current WOS website, and I have received five awards for my work.


I have authored 7 specialized books (5 as the primary author and 2 as the sole author), and 10 textbooks and laboratory guidance materials published by recognized CNCSIS-accredited publishing houses with ISBN and scientific references. I have also published 16 papers in recognized international specialist journals, and I am a member of the scientific committee of 12 national and international conferences. My h-index according to Clarivate is 10.


I have participated in 22 scientific research projects, including two as a project director, two as a member of international research projects, five institutional development projects, two POSDRU projects, and 11 national projects (partnerships, CEEX, ERANET, etc.).
